The Warren County Screaming Devils will be home for the holidays to greet the Treutlen Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren County will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Even though Warren County has not done well against Greene County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Warren County secured a 49-43 W over Greene County. Given Warren County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Greene County is ranked 389th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Warren County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Saniya Tolbert out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Tolbert pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alecia Tucker, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Treutlen beat Jeff Davis 53-41 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Treutlen.
Warren County pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Treutlen, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
