If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Jackson South Side. They will challenge Obion County on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory.
Jackson South Side had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 24-14 win over Chester County. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (21) and coasted on those for the win.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-48, which was the final score in Obion County's tilt against Dyersburg last Friday. Obion County were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-48.
Jackson South Side's win lifted them to 3-0 while Obion County's defeat dropped them down to 0-3. We'll find out if Jackson South Side can add another positive mark to their record or if Obion County can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Jackson South Side's step.
