Quincy won the last time they faced Alton and things went their way on Friday too. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 33-7 margin over the Redbirds. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Blue Devils' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Redbirds are ranked 216th).

The victory got Quincy back to even at 1-1. As for Alton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quincy will take on Alleman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Blue Devils their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Alton, they will face off against Triad at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
