Carthage was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Leading Webb City to victory were Omari Jackson and Barron Duda. Jackson scored 16 points along with seven steals, while Duda went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 2 assists. Duda has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played. Holton Keith was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Carthage's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Webb City, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Carthage will be playing at home against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Missouri (Republic is ranked 61st, while the Tigers are ranked 72nd).
