Century scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the Minico Spartans 50-44. The Diamondbacks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Century's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mia Chavez, who posted ten points and six steals, and Addie Merrill, who had ten points and five steals. Merrill is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Kate Spicer, who earned five points and seven rebounds.

Century's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Minico, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-5.

Century wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-33 defeat against Hillcrest on the 7th. As for Minico, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-20 loss against Highland on the 7th.
