Having struggled with three losses in a row, Elkhorn turned things around against Wilmot on Tuesday. They blew past the Panthers 17-3.
Elkhorn got a massive performance out of Ellie Jacobson, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Macy Salek was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Elkhorn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Union Grove and Elkhorn, and Union Grove kept the tradition alive. The Broncos walked away with a 10-5 win over the Elks on Monday. With that victory, the Broncos brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Ciara Hage made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Hage was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.

Elkhorn's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Union Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
