Upland (Calif.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 47-26 victory over
Glendora (Calif.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, the Highlanders/Scots led 32-7 at the half.
Upland saw its 25-point halftime lead fall to 13 entering the fourth.
Nate Romine was the top performer for UHS. The senior quarterback ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
Cade Lindsey played well for the Tartans. He ran for two touchdowns. His performance brought his touchdown total to 13 on the year.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 49-3 win for the Highlanders/Scots.
The defeat comes as a step back for Glendora, which notched a 32-0 victory over Alta Loma in its previous outing.
Upland (7-0) goes up against Los Osos in a Baseline game matchup next week, while Glendora (3-4) locks horns with Rancho Cucamonga also in a Baseline game.
