On Friday, Rock Port are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against South Nodaway/Jefferson at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Rock Port took care of business in their home opener. Everything went their way against DeKalb last Friday as they made off with a 40-14 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Rock Port had established a 32-6 advantage.
Meanwhile, South Nodaway/Jefferson couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-58 to Mound City/Craig. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Rock Port's victory lifted them to 1-0 while South Nodaway/Jefferson's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Rock Port can add another positive mark to their record or if South Nodaway/Jefferson can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Rock Port's step.
