Even though the Lee Volunteers scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the Brandeis Broncos still came out on top. Brandeis took their match against Lee 65-55. The win made it back-to-back wins for Brandeis.
Among those leading the charge was Ashton Pena, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Trevor Short was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Brandeis' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-13. As for Lee, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-9.
Brandeis will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Madison is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Lee, they will take on Clark at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
