Western Plains is 0-6 against Northern Valley since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Western Plains Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Northern Valley Huskies at 7:00 p.m.
Western Plains won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were beaten by Cheylin 50-21. Western Plains has not had much luck with Cheylin recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Northern Valley put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 92-23 victory over Stockton. Northern Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Northern Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeremiah Hansen out in front who scored 18 points along with five steals. Drew Schemper was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Western Plains' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Northern Valley, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road.
Western Plains took a serious blow against Northern Valley in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 67-22. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Western Plains was down 35-8.
