2A-1 Region I District 1 recap Oct. 3, 2012
Muleshoe extended the longest winning streak in 2A-1 Region I District 1 this week by beating Alpine, 55-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Mules.
Childress moved up to 465 from 608 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bobcats were able to make the jump by beating Quanah 31-12.
Dimmitt's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bobcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Eric Oltiveros has thrown for 629 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Jacob Lule has 11 catches for 173 yards. Dontra Ewing leads the league in rushing with 301 yards.
Muleshoe took down the Bucks 55-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
