Even though the Nogales Nobles have not done well against the Sierra Vista Dons recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Nogales walked away with a 53-46 victory over the Dons. The victory was familiar territory for Nogales who now have four in a row.
Sierra Vista's loss came despite strong showings from Aaron Buna and David Orozco. Buna scored 20 points along with two steals, while Orozco scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Buna hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Nogales is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-13 record this season. As for Sierra Vista, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10.
Nogales does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sierra Vista also has no future games currently scheduled.
