The Heritage Generals will head out on the road to challenge the Cartersville Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage will be strutting in after a win while Cartersville will be coming in after a loss.
Heritage had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past Model 1-0.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten goals the game before, Cartersville were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. Their tough 4-0 defeat to Villa Rica might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cartersville in their matchups with Villa Rica: they've now lost four in a row.
Everything went Heritage's way against Cartersville in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as Heritage made off with a 8-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heritage since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
