B District 8 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Scottsbluff extended the longest winning streak in B District 8 this week by beating Aurora, 32-8. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Scottsbluff was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating the Huskies 32-8. Joe Benson's team came in at 12 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
Sidney's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Lane Harvey threw for 80 yards and Nick Conger had 65 yards receiving. On the ground Chance Anglin chipped in 65 yards. Brenton Christian helped Sidney's passing attack out by catching one ball for eight yards.
Sidney's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Red Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Harvey has thrown for 403 yards and one touchdown this season, while Conger has four catches for 86 yards. Logan Lewis leads the league in rushing with 344 yards.
The Bearcats took down Aurora 32-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
