The Philo Electrics lost against the River View Black Bears back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Philo took a hard 64-47 fall against River View. Philo has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Electrics players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cooper Radcliffe, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Wright, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hayden Walters, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walters has scored all season. Laired Williamson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Philo's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for River View, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Philo will take on Coshocton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Coshocton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Philo likes a good challenge. As for River View, they will look to defend their home court on Sunday against Cambridge at 4:00 p.m. Cambridge is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
