Vega waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Holy Cross Catholic Academy Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The matchup marked the Longhorns' most dominant win of the season so far.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Vega was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-9, 25-11.

Vega's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Holy Cross Catholic Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Vega and Littlefield will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another on Tuesday. As for Holy Cross Catholic Academy, they will head out to challenge Kelton at 5:00 p.m. on September 4.
