The Serrano Diamondbacks will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Palm Desert Aztecs at 2:00 p.m. on December 26th. Serrano will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 917th, while Palm Desert is ranked 237th).
Last Thursday, Serrano had to suffer through a rough 68-40 loss at the hands of Valley Christian.
Meanwhile, Palm Desert entered their tilt with La Quinta with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Palm Desert came out on top against La Quinta by a score of 63-50 on Thursday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palm Desert to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jecorey Jones, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamrynn Nathan, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Serrano has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Palm Desert, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
