This season hasn't been kind to the Sublette Larks, who are still winless after their 12th contest. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 34-33 to Deerfield. Sublette was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Deerfield apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.
Several Larks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Talyna Guenter, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Guenter has scored all season. Aneya Puentes was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Sublette dropped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road. As for Deerfield, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
Sublette will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwestern Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deerfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Moscow on Monday. Moscow is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
