Holly is 9-1 against Stratton since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will head out to face off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Holly put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Manzanola as they made off with a 22-5 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Coy King made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Holly got a massive performance out of Jesse Pizarro, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Pizarro has posted since back in April of 2024. Dryvor Hatcher was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Stratton got the win against Manzanola on Friday by a conclusive 18-3. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Like Holly, Stratton also got a great game from a two-way player: Ricky Schillig. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Schillig was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grady Steerman, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Keegan Isenbart, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Stratton's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 9.3 runs thus far. As for Holly, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-6.
Holly came up short against Stratton when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 11-8. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
