The Freedom Patriots struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Tuesday (the Cypress Creek Bears were 25% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Freedom was the victim of a tough 68-48 defeat at the hands of the Bears. Freedom has struggled against the Bears recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Freedom still got an impressive performance from Elijah Perez, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Tristan McNeal, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Cypress Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Torres, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Kingston Baez was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Freedom has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Cypress Creek, their win bumped their record up to 9-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freedom will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Legacy Charter is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Cypress Creek, they will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Winter Park is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
