Last Thursday, Notre Dame-Green Pond made easy work of Bangor and carried off a 61-36 win. Given Notre Dame-Green Pond's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Bangor is ranked 336th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Saucon Valley earned a 52-40 victory over Moravian Academy on Monday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Saucon Valley has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saucon Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Robertson, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Robertson has scored at least 25% of Saucon Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Constantine Donahue, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
Notre Dame-Green Pond's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Saucon Valley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Notre Dame-Green Pond couldn't quite finish off Saucon Valley in their previous meeting back in March and fell 54-51. Thankfully for Notre Dame-Green Pond, Cydae Joseph-Davis (who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
