Even though the Summersville Wildcats scored an imposing 71 points on Tuesday, the Alton Comets still came out on top. Alton secured a 75-71 W over Summersville. The win made it back-to-back wins for Alton.
Despite the loss, Summersville had strong showings from Garrin Greear, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds, and Andrew Buschmann, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Greear has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Paxton Hunter, who scored five points along with nine rebounds.
Alton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Summersville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
Alton will be playing at home against Doniphan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alton is facing Doniphan at the right time seeing as Doniphan is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Summersville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-42 win vs. Dora on the 9th.
