Make it seven blowout wins for the Quincy Jackrabbits this season. They blew past Cashmere, posting a 79-49 win at home. Given Quincy's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Cashmere is ranked 157th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Quincy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but julian Ibarra led the charge by scoring 24 points. Pierce Bierlink was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Quincy pushed their record up to 13-6 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Cashmere, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quincy will take on Cascade at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cashmere, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Okanogan at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
