The Dayton Dust Devils suffered their biggest loss since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 60-31 loss at the hands of Churchill County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Dayton has suffered against Churchill County since January 4, 2019.
Churchill County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Trevor Hyde out in front who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Luke Glinka, who scored 13 points.
Dayton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Churchill County, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dayton will play host again and welcome Fernley, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fernley will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. Churchill County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Galena at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. Galena is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
