Evan Panaro and Luca Signorini were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Panaro pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Meanwhile, Signorini struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. At bat, Panaro went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Signorini went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Signorini is becoming a predictor of Buffalo's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-8 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Buffalo got a massive performance out of Caiden Craig, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI and one double. The Bison are undefeated when Craig posts three or more hits, but 5-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Rutan, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Buffalo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Roane County posted their closest victory since April 26, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Clay County.
C KINDER made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, J GREATHOUSE was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. He has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was W BRABHAM, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Roane County pushed their record up to 6-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Buffalo, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Buffalo has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Roane County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
