The M.L. King Lions's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Apalachee Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. M.L. King has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 4-0 during that stretch of close contests.
Even though M.L. King has not done well against Lithonia recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. M.L. King pulled ahead with a 44-43 photo finish over Lithonia. Given M.L. King's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Lithonia is ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Kennedy Ruzvidzo jr., who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Bowers, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Apalachee had just enough and edged Discovery out 52-49 on Saturday.
