Baseball Recap: Seneca's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Seneca came into Wednesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Iroquois Braves by a score of 8-3 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 back in April.

Michael Gilmore was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Greg Rupp was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-13. As for Iroquois, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Seneca and Iroquois will both be playing Eisenhower the next time they take the field. The Braves will host the Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
