The Westminster Catawba Christian Indians were the 63-62 winner over the Concord Academy Eagles when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Westminster Catawba Christian took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Thursday.
Leading Concord Academy to victory were Sean Birmingham and Ian Howard. Birmingham scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Howard scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sherod McCormick, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Westminster Catawba Christian's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Concord Academy, they pushed their record up to 17-14 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Westminster Catawba Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Patriots at 8:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Concord Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
