Hillcrest came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Skyline Grizzlies. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by just one run.

Hillcrest pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Skyline, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Hillcrest and Skyline will both be playing Blackfoot the next time they take the field. The Grizzlies will host the Broncos at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Knights will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
