It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Ferris Yellowjackets can now relate to. Their tough 66-40 defeat to the Wildcats on Monday might stick with them for a while. Ferris has struggled against Dunbar recently, as their matchup on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Dunbar's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ariel Duran led the charge by scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Duran has scored all season. Jordan McIntosh was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Ferris' loss dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Dunbar, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.
Ferris does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dunbar will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Van Alstyne on February 15th.
