Flour Bluff is 7-1-1 against Alice since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hornets will take on the Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. Flour Bluff's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Alice's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Flour Bluff proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 13) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Ray 4-3.

Robert Moreno made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.
In other pitching news, Roland Vera tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Benjamin Terry was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Alice and Calallen, and Calallen kept the tradition alive. The Coyotes came up short against the Wildcats on Friday, falling 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Coyotes have suffered since March 6th.
Alice saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landen Castillo, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Castillo also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
Flour Bluff has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Alice, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-13-1.
Flour Bluff skirted past Alice 1-0 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
