Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 36-7, which was the final score in Watseka's tilt against Momence on Friday. Watseka was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
The losses dropped Hoopeston/Armstrong to 2-6 and Watseka to 1-7.
Everything came up roses for Hoopeston/Armstrong against Watseka in their previous matchup back in September of 2022 as the team secured a 52-12 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hoopeston/Armstrong since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
