The Kecoughtan Warriors had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Phoebus on the road to the tune of 76-42. Considering Kecoughtan has won three contests by more than 27 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kecoughtan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Derek Todd, who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Caleb Mathews, who scored 16 points.
The victory got Kecoughtan back to even at 3-3. As for Phoebus, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-5.
Kecoughtan's road trip will continue as they head out to face Norcom at 8:00 p.m. on December 16th. Phoebus will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gloucester at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Gloucester comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
