After a string of 11 wins, Garden Plain's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the McPherson Bullpups by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Owls of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Reese Stuhlsatz paced Garden Plain's offense, picking up 14 kills. Stuhlsatz got some help from Jaicey Stuhlsatz and her 30 assists. Ellie Thul controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Garden Plain's loss dropped their record down to 25-6. As for McPherson, their win bumped their record up to 24-5-4.

Garden Plain has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Bishop Carroll on the 11th. As for McPherson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Hutchinson on the 11th.
