Tri-West Hendricks is 0-10 against Brownsburg since October of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bruins will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. Tri-West Hendricks will be strutting in after a win while Brownsburg will be coming in after a loss.
While Tri-West Hendricks' victory against Zionsville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bruins had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.
Tri-West Hendricks was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (107-97), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-23, 14-25, 25-21, 15-13.
Meanwhile, Brownsburg faced Westfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Shamrocks by a score of 3-2. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Shamrocks since Wednesday.
Brownsburg took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 26-24, 17-25, 25-15, 15-6.
Tri-West Hendricks will need to focus on slowing down Kate Vrabel, one of several Brownsburg players who made an impact when they last played. She had 15 digs and six assists.
Tri-West Hendricks' win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Brownsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.
Tri-West Hendricks might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Brownsburg when the teams last played back in September of 2023. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
