The Alcester-Hudson Cubs can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They skirted past Irene/Wakonda 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Alcester-Hudson has posted yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alcester-Hudson to victory, but perhaps none more so than William Hallaway, who scored 12 points along with five assists. Hallaway continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Bovill, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Alcester-Hudson's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Irene/Wakonda, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alcester-Hudson will take on Scotland at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Irene/Wakonda, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Beresford at 7:30 p.m.
