Westside is 8-2 against Easley since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Westside Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Easley Green Wave at 6:00 p.m. Westside is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
Last Tuesday, Westside faced Greenwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Westside took down Greenwood 47-32.
Westside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kiarra Gregory led the charge by scoring 12 points. Gregory's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Ahrianna Scott, who scored ten points.
Easley posted their biggest victory since December 18, 2023 on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Berea 70-29 at home. Easley pushed the score to 48-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Berea had little chance of recovering from.
Easley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Proctor, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Olivia Gramblin was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Westside pushed their record up to 16-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Easley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
Westside took their victory against Easley in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 52-28. Will Westside repeat their success, or does Easley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
