Augusta is 10-0 against Mulvane since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Augusta Orioles will head out on the road to challenge the Mulvane Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Augusta will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Mulvane is ranked 48th).
Augusta scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 73-30 victory over El Dorado. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Augusta has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, Mulvane strolled past Clearwater with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 50-36.
Manny Myers and Aiden Mckee were among the main playmakers for Mulvane as the former scored 16 points along with five rebounds and the latter scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Mckee hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games.
Augusta's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Mulvane, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Augusta didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Mulvane in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 43-38 victory.
