It was a good run, but the Faustina Academy Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 60-47 to Trinity Christian Academy. Faustina Academy lost against Trinity Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 78-43 score last time.
Trinity Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Rolen out in front who shot 4-for-4 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Rolen has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Moore, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Faustina Academy's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.
Faustina Academy will head out on the road to challenge Grace Academy on Tuesday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Paul's Prep at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully St. Paul's Prep likes a good challenge.
