Two dominant in Jasmin Brown and Laila Henderson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Goleman Gators will head out on the road to face off against the North Miami Beach Chargers at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Goleman came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Coral Gables by a score of 46-36. Given Goleman's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Coral Gables is ranked 557th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Miami Beach has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 38 points or more this season. They blew past Reagan, posting a 41-3 win on the road.
Henderson was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was Henderson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelinda Odelus, who scored two points along with ten steals.
Goleman's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for North Miami Beach, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
