Wapahani has gone 7-1 against Eastern Hancock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Raiders will face off against the Royals at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wapahani came out on top against Frankton on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Raiders beat the Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.
Jerrick Longfellow spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Quentine James, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kayson Perdue, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Eastern Hancock got the win against Cowan on Thursday by a conclusive 10-4. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Blackhawks: they've now won three in a row.
Caleb Retherford and Hayden Rouse made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Retherford pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Rouse struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. At the plate, Retherford went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Rouse got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, Gavin Jenkins was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Jenkins is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolt Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Eastern Hancock was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Wapahani's record is now 6-2. As for Eastern Hancock, their record now sits at 3-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Wapahani has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Eastern Hancock struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Wapahani got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Eastern Hancock by a conclusive 10-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
