It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-45, which was the final score in Blue Ridge's tilt against Bishop O'Connell last Saturday. This makes it the second loss in a row for Blue Ridge.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between North Cross and Hargrave Military Academy. North Cross put a hurting on Hargrave Military Academy to the tune of 67-14. With North Cross ahead 39-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.
North Cross's win lifted them to 3-2 while Blue Ridge's defeat dropped them down to 1-3. In their victory, North Cross relied heavily on sophomore Gabe Zappia, who passed for 319 yards and 6 touchdowns. Blue Ridge will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
