Santa Fe is 1-9 against Ball since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Santa Fe Indians will be home for the holidays to greet the Ball Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. Santa Fe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 709th, while Ball is ranked 169th).
Santa Fe struggled with assists on Friday (La Porte had 13 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Santa Fe suffered a rough 69-49 defeat at the hands of La Porte. Santa Fe has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ryland Chambless put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Mason Crable, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Ball was able to grind out a solid victory over Friendswood on Friday, taking the game 63-50.
Santa Fe now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Ball, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
Things could have been worse for Santa Fe, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 80-61 loss to Ball in their previous matchup back in January. Can Santa Fe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
