Even though the Methacton Warriors scored an imposing 60 points on Saturday, the Constitution Generals still came out on top. Constitution secured a 66-60 W over Methacton.
Constitution had a senior duo take command as Perry Fields scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks and Kyree Latimer dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Latimer hasn't dropped below 15 points for six straight games. Amir Speights was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Constitution is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Methacton, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Constitution will challenge John Bartram at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Methacton, they will head out on the road to take on Pottstown at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Pottstown knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Methacton likes a good challenge.
