The Bethany Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Carver on the road by a decisive 52-33 margin. Bethany was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Carver apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Bethany's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leah Denny, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Michael, who scored 3 points.
Bethany's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Carver, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Bethany will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cornerstone Charter at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Cornerstone Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday. As for Carver, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop McGuinness at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
