The St. John Lutheran Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Redeemer Christian, falling 73-29. St. John Lutheran has not had much luck with Redeemer Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryce Disimile, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds. Brody Gravante was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Andrew Parker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Redeemer Christian, scoring 26 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The contest was Parker's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Beau Suarez, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
St. John Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Redeemer Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John Lutheran will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Saint Francis Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Redeemer Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Umatilla at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Umatilla is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 69.8 points per game.
