Peebles has gone a perfect 4-0 against Eastern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Peebles is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Tuesday, Peebles needed a bit of extra time to put away Eastern. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Warriors. While the Indians didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastern). They blew past Green 21-1 on Tuesday. The Eagles have beaten the Bobcats the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bobcats has come to flipping the script.
Kenleigh Bapst was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bapst was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Aubrey Quillen was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Leah Rader was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Eastern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .475. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Peebles' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Eastern, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Peebles was able to grind out a solid win over Eastern in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 6-3. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
