Valley is 4-0 against Desert Oasis since January of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Valley Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks at 3:00 p.m. Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Desert Oasis likes a good challenge.
Even though Green Valley scored an imposing 68 points on Wednesday, Valley still came out on top. Valley took their game against Green Valley 81-68.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Williams, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Elijah Flowers was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Desert Oasis unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 64-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rancho.
Despite their loss, Desert Oasis saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kaden Arnold, who scored 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. Arnold hasn't dropped below 15 points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Jerome White, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-16 record this season. As for Desert Oasis, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
Valley strolled past Desert Oasis in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 77-58. Will Valley repeat their success, or does Desert Oasis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
