If the Carrollton Warriors were riding high off their 74-33 takedown of the Claymont Mustangs last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Carrollton fell 55-44 to Indian Creek on Monday. Carrollton has not had much luck with Indian Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Carrollton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Demi Leary, who scored 17 points. Brae Roudebush was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals and two blocks.
It was another big night for McKenna Scott, who scored 27 points along with seven assists and five steals for Indian Creek. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scott has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kylie Anderson, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Carrollton's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3. As for Indian Creek, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
Carrollton will be playing in front of their home fans against Salem at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Salem will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Carrollton is ranked 82nd). As for Indian Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
