Baseball Recap: Lovelady Has No Trouble Against Grapeland

Lovelady won the last time they faced Grapeland and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions blew past the Sandies 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Brady McCullough, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Lovelady: the team is 7-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Lovell, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Lovelady kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Lovelady's victory bumped their record up to 13-10-1. As for Grapeland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
